A Narrow Market on Hill Top - #marketfriday
We do find many markets , shops , local vendors on the ground level. Neither the vendors nor the customer need to make much effort for getting the business done. It is always an easy find at the ground level. However, when you are in religious tour your will find little shops too selling many things from toy to cosmetic to ornaments. I did find a well narrow lane of markets right on the hill top while on a pilgrimage .
Before one can proceed to the temple complex, one must cross through these lanes. In India we have many temples on the hill top, where lakhs of people visit daily. I too went to worship in one such location in Haridwar. The benefit of going in these spritual places is that we use to get a good physical workout. Climbing on top of these places needs a good trekking practice.
While many loves to climb through the concrete road made by the government and the temple authority. Still many people try to risk it by choosing the short cut, through the off road climbing on top. Which may proved to be very dangerous considering it has steep.slope.
After climbing and trekking on top , no one could ever imagin to find a small market place. But in India the religious places is now a centre of business and many people set up their shops in search of making mullah. So does here as well with many small establishment selling.many things in the narrow lane.
These places always remain overcrowded and having some security concern, I could not manage to take some good pictures, still whatever I arrange , I am sharing to make it a good #marketfriday for @dswigle (ie Denise)
The temple and the market is situated at Haridwar.
Chandi Devi Temple, Haridwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi in the holy city of Haridwar in the Uttarakhand state of India. The temple is situated atop the Neel Parvat on the Eastern summit of the Sivalik Hills, the southernmost mountain chain of the Himalayas
Not sure why but people do take interest in buying stuff from these shops. For sure quality wise, I doubt on these product, still people make sure to buy from them. They want to keep some momento of their religious trip.
This is my entry to #marketfriday. A market, where lots of efforts were made to keep everything organised and decorative, and also transporting the goods and the shopkeepers who made a good walk everyday to open their shops.
Stay Calm....
Keep Steeming...Steem On !!!

I can see that it is quite a journey to make these pilgrimages. The young, the old, and everyone in between make the effort to go. I have to believe that is there devoutness that drives them. I can even understand it as I have done some things in the name of religion that I thought were beyond my capabilities.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate you taking us up on that Journey, mostly because this is a far different Market Friday then the usual and this is exactly kind of thing that I love seeing. Stretching out are Market Fridays to show off different cultures. You really hit a homerun with this one!
I was surprised to see the number of stop and objects that are available for sale. I can only imagine how much trouble it was to get home at Merchandise up there. Whenever I go to churches, people always line up to buy little remembrances of their visit there. Some of them even get blessed by the priest. I want to thank you for taking us on this journey and again I want to reiterate just how wonderful it is to share these different cultures and especially India has it is pretty much a mystery to me and so I love going different places and see the culture of your country.
Thank you again for taking the time and effort to put this post together. It is much appreciated and as always I wish you a most wonderful day.
#MarketFriday loves you!

Hahaha...thanks Denise. I feel good to show about India. The platform is such that make it look quite possible.
Seriously they the shopkeepers do make a lot of effort in making it looks quite easier. The devotee do make their trip for blessing and in between these small markets does help them bit relax. Hopefully they don't get strayed away of their motto of reaching on top. To take blessing. 🙏🙏 In return the local people do get some way to earn and get their livelihood going.....may be blessings of these temples allow them to do so with open heart.
Hope with these markets post I may help in solving all the Indian puzzle....in case not then do plan it out to get some own experince...🙃
