Euan Uglow and His Methodology
The style of this painter is quite fascinating , because before he move to canvas he filled the paper with geometric calculations and analysis to create completely geometric art.
Euan Uglow , Skull
His full name is Euan Ernest Richard Uglow and he is a painter from london who lived between 1932 and 2000. Among the painters which influenced him most by his aristic education are Victor Pasmore , Claude Rogers and mostly William Coldstream
It is known that he uses the horizontal and vertical reference points used by his favourite painter William Coldstream and it can be understood that he is influenced by obsessive geometric sensitivity as we can clearly understand from his works. This technique is based on the mathematical methods regularly used by renaissance artists such as Piero della Francesca and can be called the certainty of this noun observation which the Italians call cartesian. Uglow is highly influenced by the French existentialism movement and it is also possible to see the influence of existentialists such as Sartre and Camus in his works.
Euan Uglow , You can see the geometric inspiration
In fact, the attempt to perceive reality can be attributed to the fact that the geometry and the light of the three dimensions of reality and the delicate balance that accompanies it can be expressed in two dimensions. One day he turned one of his models and said to her " Nobody has ever looked at you as intensively as I have"
To be honest I really can not imagine that such a deep and intense evaluation is something anyone in daily life bestows on anyone. You can clearly see his calculations on the draft before he move to the canvas and according to rumors his paintings was taking so long and he was one of the only artists who buys only a canvas a year.
çok ilginç ..
