Club5050 4/9/2022 Bird watching at wildlife sanctuary in Olanggo Island, Cebu
Summer was just around the corner but this week the rain didn't bother to stop pouring despite of the what we called summer season in the country.
Before the rain keeps on pouring this week, I was able to visit the beautiful island of Olanggo. This islet is still part of the city where I live. This city is very progressive in terms of tourism and its economy is booming.
Going to the said islet, we need to take a ferry for about 10 to 15 minutes. While on the boat, you can already see the clear water and even those fishes in their.
When we get to the Olanggo port, our rented tricycle and the driver had waited for us already. We pay 1,000 php or roughly 53 steem for the whole day trip. From the port we went directly to the wildlife sanctuary to see different birds.
When we arrived at the sanctuary, we have to register and pay for some environmental fee. We then get assisted by the bird expert who introduced us the different species that's in the sanctuary on that day.
We have to walk few kilometers to see the viewing station. It was low tide and the guide told us that we may only see few species since those birds like it when the water is high.
When we arrived at the view point, the guide master started to search birds that we can see. He also have a book that identifies all the birds and their species. It was fun because it was my first time to visit the place and see those creatures.
Though we only see 5 different species but still good. The device that we used really capture and helped us view those beautiful things. Though we are not able to take photos of those birds because of the distance but the memory of seeing them makes it feel good still.
Above all, being with my wife on that day and every day makes it more complete and fun. It was actually my wife's second time visiting the place but she still enjoyed the place especially the good weather.
After seeing the birds, my wife and I went to marine sanctuary and other tourist attractions in the island. Indeed, it was a fun day!
I am inviting @jaofran @lealtafaith @jufranketchup to share your travel experience with us. See you!
oh beautiful experience! I'd love to visit Olango too... was the telescope part of the tour? How about bringing kids, would they allow that too?
The telescope was part of the tour but I am not sure if they would allow it too.

We also had gone there with my sons. But at that time the migratory bird was only a few. We waited until it gets dark coz it was their time to come out.
Your son is so cute. How old is he now?
He is 6 years old now, He looks like a Korean, he inherited his look from my wife.🙂

Is this a entry for our Major Contest of the Week? Unforgettable Summer Getaway
