Poetry: “She Loved Him”
and without cause
she loved him under water
and in the freezing cold of the deep winter months
she loved him in the dark
and beneath the starry sky
she loved his hands
and his innocent blue eyes
she loved his heart and how big it always seemed to be
she loved him even when things were a little stormy
she loved him before they knew each other’s name
and she will love him until
she takes her last breath
and her heart goes up in flames
