Steemit added a new feature called ''Reblog''

Allowing you to kind of "feature" a post you like from another author (check the new arror button), with the purpose intended to end the trend of popular and established authors featuring other's posts as a means of promoting new authors on Steemit

The Reblog feature allows you to blog anything that anyone else has posted and it allows you to blog it to all of your followers

This is going to be great in getting people's older posts noticed. It should also help lesser known authors gain more exposure!

Purpose of the ''Reblog'' Feature

Benefits of Reblogging

You can reblog any post to your own Steemit Blog, this allows you to share out content with your followers. Giving Steemit Users the ability to share out other People Work that she/he personally feels is Interesting. Before you can only link the source, follow the User to keep track of that post or Saving the link through Bookmarking

Build more Followers

There is no need to write post anymore to keep your followers updated , keeping the audience intact by reblogging interesting post from other Steemit Users. If you want to gain a following , this is the only way to feature content without actually plagiarising other people's work

Personal Feeling about this Feature:

An amazing feature that allows people's older posts to get noticed. It should also help lesser known authors gain more exposure , popular accounts can reblog less known Users giving them greater exposure to Steemit's Community. Be Nice to Whales or Write a good Post and you'll have a greater chance of individuals upvoting your post and it's also great to share content among your Friends & Followers.

This allows post to gain exposure by reaching a greater audience, before this update a post had the chance of being only promoted on 1 individual's Account, people only can link the source of the post and perhaps follow them in order to keep track of it. Now you can reblog the post to your own personal blog, keeping track of content in a more personalized way. Keep your Followers updated with the best post's that you find interesting

Steemit Developers have many plans for enhancing the reblog feature. These enhancements include:

1. Renaming to to resteem
2. Keeping track of resteem count
3. Updating reputation algorithm to factor in followers and resteem rates
4. Allowing users to see everyone who resteemed an article.
5. Ability to remove a reblog
6. Ability to separate your content from "reblogged content"
