currently, many rumors are circulating that McDonalds will soon accept bitcoin as a means of payment. The reason for the speculation is based on the statement from the fast food chain that McDonalds will accept a digital currency in the future. Particularly interesting is the company's response to the question of whether the digital currency is Bitcoin. McDonalds responded on Twitter as follows:
Of course, this statement is somewhat daring and it does not imply a direct commitment, but the suspicion is already very close to being Bitcoin. Should McDonalds really consider an integration of Bitcoin, this would also be a nice touch for other companies from the industry, in the future to put in the digital currency.

This would be something huge @steemornot! Just imagine all the other industries that would slowly hop on board after this... one by one :D
Sooner or later, Bitcoin will just have to be one of the payment methods accepteded by any store/ seller... These giants would have to adapt or their business will die. This is good news!
This is cool but if it were fast food I would hope for shake shack or something along those lines. Regardless, if it happens I think it is a win for bitcoin and altcoins because others would surely follow suit.
Can't wait to see where this leads!
If McDonalds' implements cryptocurrencies, it would be a big step towards widespread acceptance.
