Bitshares - State of the Network - 27th December 2016

Welcome to the 15th Bitshares State of the Network (BSotN) report. I will be releasing this report weekly to look at the changes in the ecosystem and track longer term changes in a effort to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares platform.

Bitshares - State of the Network - 27th December 2016

The Bitshares State of the Network Reports seeks to combine raw data from a wide range of metrics and combine them into meaningful information to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares network.

Observation from this week

This section will highlight any observations made while analysing the data.

• @chronos has released another video for the Bitshares network; the latest video is called 'Sending Money with Bitshares' and can be found HERE along with his other releases.

• The Bitshares community has recently started discussing Transaction Per Second test; previous tests had been preformed showing 10k transaction per block in a test net environment; The aim of the test is to get a measure of the platform's transaction throughput by trying to execute a heavy load of transactions on the blockchain. find out more details and get involved HERE

• OpenLedger / @bloggersclub have published a roadmap for plans for 2017 relating to the rewards tokens core to the platform (OBITS, ICOO and BTSR) find the official statement here on Steemit

• Peerplays have closed trading of the 'PEERPLAYS' token on the Bitshares DEX; on market closed the value of Peerplays was > $40 USD. Accounts still holding PEERPLAYs token will be eligible to claim PPY when the Peerplays network officially launches. This will occur by logging into the Peerplays wallet with your Bitshares accounts/ private key that held PEERPLAYS on the Bitshares network; further information will be made available in future with full walk throughs and guides (so don't worry, i will publish relivent details in these reports or keep an eye on peerplays.com/news). On January 13th 2017 the Peerplays team will announce the date of their ICO and further information. Keep up with all the news on the Peerplays website

• Christoph Hering (@chris4210) Co-Founder & CEO of Bitshares Munich has announced the winners of the BlockPay Christmas Contest; 10 lucky winners all receive limited edition of BlockPay T-Shirt, a set of Bitcoin and BlockPay stickers and 250 BlockPay tokens. Find out more HERE

• Beyond Bitcoin Show is launching a Bitshares only mumble; this Bitshares focused community discussion will kick off 1 hours before the normal scheduled Beyond Bitcoin hangouts for more details on how to connect check out this weeks Beyond Bitcoin Guest list and be sure to connect in 1 hour early. • @chris4210 has also mentioned they will be moving their social media presence to discord and telegram, this will mean the eventual shutdown of the slack channel. you can join their discord channel HERE

• @kencode has released his weekly update relating to C-IPFS, Android Smartcoin wallets and Stealth; As always Ken has smashed out a lot of work this week and it seems that C-IPFS and Stealth are getting close to completion; find Ken's update HERE

• Centz (partner with OpenLedger / @bloggersclub) have launched their Pre-ICO which runs until the 19th of Jan 2017 with early bird discounts being offered to investors, discounts available range from 5-50% on the official ICO price base on the amount invested (1 BTC = 5%, 20 BTC = 20% and 50 BTC = 50%). • Apptrade - The Stock market of Apps (partner with OpenLedger / @bloggersclub) have launched their Pre-ICO which runs until the 31st of Jan 2017 with early bird discounts being offered to investors, discounts available range from 5-50% on the official ICO price base on the amount invested (1 BTC = 5%, 20 BTC = 20% and 50 BTC = 50%).find out more about the offer or invest at apptrade.io/, on top of these discounts investors will also receive OBITS.WARRANTS which will be redeemable for OBITS within 2017; 1x OBIT.WARRANT + 0.16 BitUSD = 1 OBIT.

• GetGame ICO will be reducing the amount of options available to investors on the 31st of December from 2 million to 500,000 'REALITY' tokens, At present their are 2 million 'REALITY' tokens available for investor backing; OBITS.WARRANTS are also offered as a bonus per 'REALITY', which will be redeemable for OBITS within 2017; 1x OBIT.WARRANT + 0.16 BitUSD = 1 OBIT.. find out more at getgame.io

• New top 10 account 'btsx-bitshare' which is either the BTC38 hacker or BTC38 itself, i was under the impression that it was BTC38 but recently noticed the have a 2,000,000 BTS order in the DEX to buy 10 Open.BTC. who ever own this account it is interesting to see them using the DEX

• Interesting changes this week from some older accounts; angel, invictus, operation.hypertas and stan. The results of these changes has Stans account just shy of a top 10 position.

• Steem users are creating UIA's on the Bitshares network; @virtualgrowth has created 'STEEMP' to work with his Steemprentise group, @taskmanger has had his 'TASKMANAGER' token out for a few weeks being used for voting and profit share of his steem account and the @steempowertwins are looking to launch a token for their STEEM LIVE project.

• Fun Casino payed dividend to holders of FUNC this week. Total payout this week was 0.4045 BTC distributed proportionally to shareholders

• The last asset registered this week is asset # and it is named 'RIBBITS' registered by 'snoopy1' with no description.

• Current registered wallets/accounts within the Bitshares network is 150800; an increase of 2987 wallets/accounts since last week
