The NBA Free Agency is one of the most exciting periods in the league. And this year, it’s probably the best free agent class. We saw Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving team up in Brooklyn as they sign max contracts with the Brooklyn Nets. Kawhi Leonard is likely to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. Truly, free agency can change the flow of the league. What happens if Kawhi really joined the Lakers? It will be a super team of Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Leonard. It will be just like the Warriors when KD joined them. Now, Let’s take a look at the most surprising signings in the 2019 NBA Free Agency.
Bojan Bogdanovic
The Utah Jazz are quietly making moves under the radar as they acquired another key player that can bolster their offense. They just added Indiana Pacers’ forward Bojan Bogdanovic to the core of Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles and Rudy Gobert. Bogdanovic agreed to sign a 4-year $73 million contract with Utah. The Jazz really put up a nice group of guys here. Bogdanovic can help Conley and Mitchell in offense. He can take off some load from them and be the third guy offensively.
Terry Rozier
As Kemba Walker exits the Charlotte Hornets, Boston Celtics’ guard Terry Rozier found Charlotte as his new home. Scary Terry will replace Kemba Walker as the main guy in Charlotte now. It is the best time for him to prove that he’s actually an elite guard in the NBA. He showed it in the 2018 NBA playoffs where he stepped up in the absence of Kyrie Irving. And he delivers very well. Now, it’s his time to shine and come out of his shell completely. He can now do what Kemba did for the city of Charlotte or even better.
Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler joining the Miami Heat was really out of the books. Who would have thought that the Heat can pull this off? Everybody thinks that Butler would go to the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers or stay in Philadelphia. But he ends up in Miami surprising everyone. Miami really did a great job landing one of the best two-way players in the league. Butler will now have his own team that he can lead and take to the playoffs. He will be their new franchise player there. And with the group of guys Miami has, they have a chance to make it to the playoffs especially that they are in the Eastern Conference.
Al Horford
And last but not the least is Al Horford joining the Philadelphia 76ers. This was the most surprising signings this offseason. Of all the team that wants him, why the Sixers? It was a very shocking moment when it was announced that Horford will join Philly. It feels different especially for Boston fans. Now, how will Horford fit in with the Sixers?
Will he play the four-spot alongside center Joel Embiid? Then Simmons will play the point guard position and Tobias Harris at the three-spot? The Sixers really steals this one and the Boston Celtics have another hole to fill. It will be a big lineup next season for the Philadelphia 76ers. Let’s see how will it work out for them.

I can't ever recall this much talent moving around in 1 off season man. It's usually loaded w/ big names or a lot of quality role players, not both.
Can't wait til it Tip-Off 🙌
