A Living Cone: The "Chicken Thigh" Shells

How're ya! Surely you all know the shells, though in various shapes and types.
Society that consists of various variety and level of education, do not know the term in Latin. They are actively looking for something in the soil and water, so they can eat. Can meet their daily needs.

As I post today, they call it "chicken thigh shells", indeed if observed, this shell shape is very similar to chicken thighs.

But there is something out of the question. These shells may have valuable pearls. I found out after I asked an old lady who actively hunted shells in one of the canals in my city.

Then what about the nutritional value of shellfish?

Since shellfish is one of the most consumable seafood, then, there are many scientific explanations about the shellfish and the nutritional value it contains.

Shellfish is one of the major sources of animal protein. And, its presence is very important, because it provides a good amount of protein, accompanied by high biological value. (Latham 1997)

The shell that I found this, when I joined the hunt with local residents is one of the rare shellfish. Not to be one of the commodities that can be exported in large quantities. The price is more expensive.

Several years ago, in a study that I conducted with @keuudeip and the research group @cisah, in eastern Aceh, we have found a clam hill that has become a fossil, abandoned for hundreds of years. This proves that shellfish as food has been popular since ancient times.

The shape of the shell is said to be "chicken thigh" when viewed from the side, has a sleek shape. The meat is full, so it is still comfortable and filling when eaten.

On the other hand, the size also varies. There are as big as a coin, some as big as a palm, even the largest one exists, has the size of an adult human head, but with a slim and cone shape.
