Today we try to do an exercise on the elasticity of supply
My goal is to include all the necessary information in this article to be able to carry out the exercise even without knowing the topic in depth.

Useful information for developing the exercise
The forces of an economic market are supply and demand. If we talk about supply we can say that there is a direct correlation between price and quantity and to understand how the curves move based on the increase and decrease in price we need to calculate the elasticity of demand.
It must be remembered that price elasticity can be elastic or inelastic.
It is defined as elastic if it is sensitive to price and inelastic if it is not sensitive.

Useful notes for carrying out the exercise
Elasticity is calculated through the ratio between the percentage variation in the quantity supplied and the variation
percentage of the price

Mathematically it is written like this:

Calculate the price elasticity of demand knowing these data:
Initial price P1=€2
Final price P1=€2.2
Initial produced quantity Q1 = 90000
Final produced quantity Q2 = 110000

Exercise - Procedure
Based on the formula written above we calculate the EDF, the elasticity of supply.
We calculate the percentage change in quantity

We calculate the percentage change in price

Now we divide the two terms together to obtain the price elasticity of supply.

The result is 2

Conclusions
In this case it means that the variation in quantity with respect to price is double

Oggi proviamo a fare un esercizio sull'elasticità dell’offerta
Il mio obiettivo è di inserire tutte le nozioni sufficienti in questo articolo per poter comunque svolgere l’esercizio anche senza conoscere a fondo l’argomento trattato.

Nozioni utili allo sviluppo dell’esercizio
Le forze di un mercato economico sono le domande e l'offerta. Se parliamo dell'offerta possiamo dire che c'è una correlazione diretta tra prezzo e quantità e per capire come si spostano le curve sulla base dell'aumento e la diminuzione del prezzo abbiamo bisogno di calcolare l'elasticità della domanda.
Bisogna ricordare che l'elasticità rispetto al prezzo può essere elastica o anelastica.
Viene definita elastica se è sensibile rispetto al prezzo ed anelastica se non è sensibile.

Note utili per svolgere l’esercizio
L’elasticità si calcola attraverso il rapporto tra la variazione percentuale della quantità offerta e la variazione
percentuale del prezzo

Matematicamente è scritto così:

Calcolare l'elasticità della domanda rispetto al prezzo conoscendo questi dati:
Prezzo iniziale P1=2€
Prezzo finale P1=2,2€
Quantità prodotta iniziale Q1 = 90000
Quantità prodotta finale Q2 = 110000

Esercizio - Svolgimento
In base alla formula scritta sopra calcoliamo l'EDF, l'elasticità dell'offerta.
Calcoliamo la variazione percentuale della quantità

Calcoliamo la variazione percentuale del prezzo

Ora dividiamo i due termini tra loro per ottenere l'elasticità dell'offerta rispetto al prezzo.

Il risultato è 2

Conclusioni
In questo caso significa che la variazione della quantità rispetto al prezzo è doppia
