in #health8 years ago

Hey, Happy Valentine's day! I am currently typing this up at one of my favorite spots. I am at a spa and sauna place called Jeju Sauna! It is located in Duluth, Ga. I have been going here for about 2 years now. I am treating myself to a nice detox on this hearty holiday. I am my own Valentine :)

Okay so because it is Valentine's day, lets talk about heart health! IT IS NOT A SECRET cardiovascular diseases is an epidemic here in America! Did you know that heart attacks and other cardiovascular dis-eases are one of the biggest killers here in America. The western diet here in America consists of packaged foods with high sodium, high trans fat, sugar overload, Meaty dead animals, and nutrient-deficient products. It is why many are literally "committing suicide" because all of this is preventable. There is so much information out there for people to finally understand that what we are putting into our mouths is linked to our HEALTH. While most do want to make a change in their diet, it is important to skip the doctor's office. This epidemic is not going to end with prescription DRUGS, stents, and bypass operations.....
It does not address the cause. The ONLY way to prevent this from happening to you or a loved one is to take strong measures with your diet.

It is important to reduce meat consumption and dairy products! Those products are carrying many trans fats, load of cholesterol, and mucus building toxins that makes the body ill. Increasing your vegetable and fruit intake is the complete opposite of what dairy and meat products are doing to your body. Vegetables and fruit contain natural fiber content and antioxidants! Fiber promotes excretion of toxic substances and helps lower cholesterol. Antioxidants protect against free radicals and artery damage!

Fruit also has NATURAL sugars. Any other sugar that has been processed to sweeten other packaged foods contributes to obesity, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. All of this meat, dairy, artificial sugary 'foods' is pointing to an increased risk of your last day here on Earth. Common sense, right?! If you are reading this and want to better your heart health OR health in general it is never too late. I believe you can always reverse any dis-ease you have now, it takes strong dedication, consistent, and openness of the mind to really invest in your health. Start slow and maintain a proper meal planning and shopping list to start being aware of that your fruits, grains, vegetables, omega-3-6-9 are being eaten everyday.

Research on omega 3's have been proven to increase heart health and lower cardiovascular disease!

  • lowering triglycerides
  • addressing inflammation
  • promoting healthy blood pressure
  • supporting a healthy resting heart rate
  • maintaining healthy insulin
  • mildly inhibiting platelet function
  • supporting normal endothelial function
  • addressing atherosclerotic plaque

Take you heart health seriously. Don't wait until you are in trouble. Do the necessary changes RIGHT NOW to prevent any suffering, changes to include now are:

  • improved diet (fruits/vegetables/whole grains/organic produce)
  • exercise regularly
  • reduce stress (discover ways to lower your stress: painting, exercising, playing an instrument, etc.)
  • avoid cigarette smoking
  • develop a prevention strategy when starting any change in your diet
