Week Five Challenge Of The #sixweekhealth challenge
I have been on my 29 day Yoga Journey for 12 days now! Today marks my 12th day of consistently practicing yoga every day! I am also entering in the #sixweekhealth challenge to share how I keep active in my life to inspire others to find what activity you enjoy doing and how practicing moving your body everyday helps to maintain a healthy body! I practice yoga and also cycle! I even like to hike and go trail running! Here is a quick video of me practicing yoga below and walking down trails :) If you enjoyed the clip, subscribe to my youtube channel as well :)
I love practicing Yoga because it allows me to go within. I find internal peace through focusing on the breathe. I allow my thoughts to halt and focus on my body. Yoga is so much more than staying physically fit, it is being aware of the breathe which is life. Life cannot exist without breathe. Practicing Yoga the past couple of days has been life transforming for me. I have noticed my breathing becoming deeper and longer allowing my body to be at rest and at ease, not worrying, not stressing, not overthinking. It is connecting me to my higher self, I am always becoming a better version of myself everyday in every way.
Here is a photo of me Practicing my head stands! My lovely niece was the photographer :)
I ran inside to change into some yoga pants because My shorts were a little too revealing for the views haha So here is another one of me focusing on control of my legs and body not to fall over! And there is my nephew in the background... I was babysitting at the moment... I practice Yoga whenever, wherever! :)
Here are some benefits I have been experiencing since practicing Yoga consistently:
- Flexibility
- deep and long breathes
- open hips, no stiff hips
- less tense on upper body
- being aware of my body
- building strength on upper body
- enhancing physical body
- honoring my body
- Yoga is moving meditation for me
- I focus on moving my body with intention
- promotes happiness
- enhances awareness
- reduces stress, reduces anxiety, reduces overthinking
I believe Yoga is for everyone willing to challenge themselves. Yoga allows you to become connected to your higher self.
Whatever you feel like you don't have, whether that be happiness, wealth, love, anything you are trying to find in this world... you will not find these things externally, but internally you already have what you are seeking.....Yoga shows you that.

I used to do yoga as part of my fitness program, wanting to get stronger and lean out. Stepped away for many years and just started again a few weeks ago, but this time with a focus of mindfulness. It's been wonderful for my body asks mind.
