Faith Quote of the Day - 02/20/2018

“Jesus Christ did not come into this world to make bad people good; he came into this world to make dead people live.” ― Lee Strobel

“While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16 When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”” (Mark 2:15-17 NIV)

“And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5:15 NIV)

Reflection:

  • Are we dead? Or are we alive in Christ today?
  • Jesus did not come for the saints, He came for us, the sinners, the thieves, the adulterers… There is no sins too terrible for our God not be able to forgive.
  • Let’s ask this question again… Who are you / am I living for today?

True talk. He came and died for the world of sinful men and not for righteous men.
Amazing

How true! Without the blood and the sacrifice of Jesus, none of us can come close to the righteous God! It is all about Jesus and what He has done!

The most terrible of sins are merely droplets of water compared to God's ocean of mercy. When these droplets are immersed in this ocean, they simply vanish not to be found ever. Such is God's mercy.

Absolutely, in the meantime, though, however, we also need to have the mentality and the drive to not to fallen to the same sin over and over again.

So very well spoken @stepbie.
