PewDiePie, the personality behind the most-subscribed channel on YouTube, will start streaming on blockchain video platform DLive as of April 14, the firm announced in a press release on April 9.

DLive, a blockchain-powered broadcasting app that includes a rewards system for content creators, will be “the exclusive livestreaming platform” for famous Swedish YouTuber Felix Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie, the press release notes.

I think we will see more influencers branching out to new platforms. Crypto platforms that directly reward such popular people seem to be the perfect fit.
What a slap in the face for the Steem community. First they scam us over the huge delegation from Steemit and than they pull over the influencer to their new home.
I don't like that this guy better should support Dtube instead of Dlive.
I don't know if I trust those guys at DLive. Their crypto doesn't seem to be available on any exchange. They also call it a testnet token, yet are ascribing monetary value to it. They let you cash it out via PayPal or Bitcoin but directly through them..
Seems like a red flag to me - potentially more like OneCoin or BitConnect than a true crypto. The Lino website doesn't even describe their consensus mechanism or how it achieves decentralization.
Great to see someone with such a following move over to Dlive. hopefully he will embrace the other platforms available but no doubt this is a big move and the publicity it will bring is unquestionable 💯🐒
They have a long history, repeating itself maybe.
