19th century church (Church of St. George in Smederevo)
The church was built for 4 years. Between 1850 and 1854.
It is located in the city center. The church in Smederevo is one of the largest temples built in the 19th century in Serbia. The church was destroyed during the First World War and was rebuilt.
But after a short time it was again damaged during the Second World War, and from the explosion on June 5, 1941 in the Smederevo Fortress, which is located not far from the church.
1888 in the main square of the city. European architecture dominated by the court building is the most important building in the city.
The building has elements of classicism and renaissance. The building is E-shaped, the main length is 54 meters while the side lengths of the corridors are 62 meters.
The thickness of the gutter is made of 60, 45 and 30 cm thick bricks. The largest repairs so far were made in 1963, when a large mosaic was added on the central stairs for the first device, the mosaic was made of natural stone 6x4 in size. The building has the statute "monument of culture of great importance"
