Not wearing trousers. Not wearing trousers. Trousers are pants. We call them pants in the US, but in England pants are underwear. I was with Americans in England when an American boy said something about pants to a British child and it was only slightly scandalous because everyone knew the American didn't know any better. I don't remember if it was even slightly scandalous. I remember thinking it was funny. I can't remember if I knew before that moment that pants were underwear in England, or if I heard the whole interaction live and didn't understand what was happening at the time but thought it was funny afterward, or if I just thought it was funny afterward when I heard about it but I wasn't there at all. I do remember that the boy who made the faux pas was Stuart Barnard, and actually I think he was Canadian. Did you know the US gets called Turtle Island? Gets called that by indigenous people and by people who reject its being called the United States because the United States is an invalid settler colonization government and system and they reject it. I only recently heard of this, of calling it Turtle Island, so I'm not calling it that myself, though maybe I should start, because I do think that United States is a giant colonization project and I do want to see a world free of capitalism and I do think that would mean the end of the "United States."
