Today I'm here after 2months in this comunity. I will share our traditional foods that we are used as breakfast in pakistan. In pakistan foods are slightly spicy and we cook foods in more oil. Our traditional breakfast is heavy, means rich in oil and nutrients like halwa pori, paratha anda, channy kulchy, paayy ka salan with Naan, nahari. These all above food are heavy but delicious. As breakfast should be rich so these foods are mostly taken at morning.
Normally we eat breakfast is not that much heavy but occasionally or in breakfast feast we take these delicious foods. On weekends I like to eat these traditional breakfast from out and whenever I get chance go out to enjoy food as I'm food lover.

For this contest I'm sharing paya recipe with you. It's our traditional breakfast in winter. It's very rich and delicious recipe. In urdu paya means legs. The main ingredients of the recipe are the hoof of a cow, goat, buffalo or sheep, cooked with traditional spices. It's one of my favorite foods. In winter it's special dish at occasions and it's an expensive food at winter.
Let's start today's food recipe
INGREDIENTS

Paya (Hoof of cow) | 4 (cut it into big pieces) |
Garlic ginger paste | 4-5 tbsp |
Red chili powder | 2-3tbsp |
Coriander powder | 2tbsp |
Termeric powder | 1tbsp |
Salt | as per taste |
Cumin seeds | 1tsp |
Black pepper | 1tsp |
Cinnamon stick | 4-5 |
Onion | 4-5 medium |
Yougart | 250gm |
Green chillies | 4-5 |
Coriander leaves | for garnish |
PROCEDURE
- Wash paya or hoof of cow nicely, it has many skins hair so wash them 3 times.
- Add alot of water in pan and start to boil the paya, here you can add black pepper, cinnamon stick, and half garlic ginger paste. Or you can boil it only in water. I boiled them just in water.
- It takes 4-5hrs to soften. Look it soften and it's stock is very oily due to bones and bone marrow. If you don't want much oil you can take out these fats but it's healthy fats and rich with many minerals.
- Take out all spices according to the recipe.
- Make paste of fried onions with Yougart.
- Add some oil in pan and then all spices and sotey it for sometime.
- Cook these spices until oil comes out and it would be like picture.
- Now add these fried spices in hoof stock. Delicious paya recipe is done.
- Garnish it with green chilies and coriander leaves.
