Should We Limit Ourselves to Write?
Everyone can definitely write, whatever kind of writing it is, feature writing, poetry, editorials, action research, concept paper, research papers and even thesis writing. These have a different set of standards and content requirement however it still all boils down to writing, thinking about a concept and transcribing every fuact and thoughts into paper. Yes most of the time it is not that easy but for what I believe in, so long as the concept is raw, and so as the content is genuinely from one’s original idea, it shouldn’t be that painful at all.
Perfect English and grammar is not really so much of a requirement, as long as one can freely express every thoughts squeezed in mind and so long as all that’s written for an academic research is based on facts, everything should follow through.
Guidelines will always be available, grammar checker is also being used nowadays and there are always grammarians and advisers if someone is writing a research paper or an academic research.
A good friend of mine kept bugging me to create a thesis title, introduction, statement of the problem, abstract and others for her. So basically this is a from the start process. There was once a time that she needed to finish a case study so I tried to help, she was able to submit the study and everything was from me. Now that she needs to start her college thesis, she is sending me messages every single day to come up with a topic, a title and the first part of her paper.
I wanted to help, why not? I’m not working and I can try to do it, but in a way I’m hesistant because I do not find it advisable to start everything from the title and let her end up not being able to defend what she is submitting to her professor. I am not sure if she became dependent to other people when it comes to school work or maybe she just really can’t. I wanted to help really but I’m a communications major and totally have zero idea about finance and business topics. I don’t wanna mess up with an academic research that I have no personal experience at all. Unfortunately I had to turn her down and explained my side, I feel like I disappointed her a lot, but the thing is, it’s her own field of study and she must be able to come up with her own ideas and writings. Especially that she’s in a university and she needs to learn.
I guess these are the type of people who are experiencing inferiority and are lacking confidence on how they can express their thoughts through writing. We can be of help sometimes but still we have to let someone else’s mind to explore their capabilities.
Everyone can write and we all have the freedom to express, let us help those who needs motivation and make them believe in what their mind and hands can write. There is no such thing as good or bad writing, it’s a matter of exerting enough effort to genuinely work on a masterpiece... whatever kind of writing it is.

I like what you are expressing here - especially the quote about discovering yourself through writing. That's something that has definitely been true for me. Often I start writing without having much idea where I'm going and discover it along the way. :)
I also partially agree with what you wrote about not worrying too much about perfect English. As a native speaker, I'm always super impressed with people who can write another language, and I feel that everyone learns more about the language each time they write. People definitely should not let language hold them back and prevent them from writing.
thanks @victoria-kelly 😘😘😘
I pretty much say or write what's on my mind.
I do not really give any issues about grammar or writing style as long as an author could perfectly project what he/she is trying to communicate to me. After all, communication is abut interacting with others and not perfect way
It's good that you turned your friend down -- stop spoon-feeding her. She's a college student, not a kindergarten pupil. Good write-up, btw.
Also, please cite your images. Thanks. :)
