by sitting pensively, reminiscing about the fate and calamity that befell him because of the irrigation waterways that were always clogged without any special cleaning and care from his fellow local residents.
well thus, that for residents who have rice fields, not only do we have to do maintenance in the rice fields, but we also have to clean the surrounding waterways, so as not to be affected by the side effects of water overflowing into the rice fields.

Definitely, losing the rice crop, was a hard blow for the lord, since a lot of money, effort and time were invested, and now he is without resources or hope.
