SEC17 WK:#4: the effects of economic hardships on families

Sending best wishes to everyone. It is an honor for me to take part in this engagement challenge that highlights the impact of financial difficulties on families.

Allow me to relate some personal anecdotes . I am a stay at home mom of a curious and active 3 years old daughter. Our family's financial stability has been supported primarily by my husband's income from his service in the defense sector. But we have been struggling, as with many other Bangladeshi families, with the effects of the present economic crisis, which was sparked by the COVID-19 outbreak and has been intensified by the conflict between Russian and Ukraine.

Bangladesh's economic crisis has had a significant impact on day to day living . For example, the cost of necessities like oil has surged, making it harder and harder for us to control our spending. The price of Octane litre used to be 82 Taka (2.10 Steem), but it is currently 130 (3.3 Steem)Taka. Prices have gone up for everything in our lives, including raw resources, organic food, rent for our homes, and public transportation. Our budget has been pushed to its absolute maximum in every area.

Even though we are fortunate enough not to be in financial hardship, we nevertheless find ourselves giving every purchase considerable thought. To deal with the financial hardship, we've had to make some big lifestyle changes. We used to have the flexibility to travel widely and eat out nearly four times a week. But these luxury items are getting more and more out of reach.
We have been reducing non-essential spending gradually in order to adjust to our new financial situation. We no longer go out as much and only go out to eat on exceptional occasions. Additionally we have started to pay closer attention to how much energy we use at home and are making every effort to use less gas and electricity . We have also started looking into more affordable options for grocery and household goods, choosing less expensive options without sacrificing quality.

In addition, I've taken on more duties in order to help our family out financially. Even while taking care of our daughter and running our home are still my main responsibilities, I've started looking into part-time work from home options. I'm committed to doing whatever it takes to support my family and lessen my husband's financial burden, whether it be through freelancing, or Blog post in STeemit Platform.
Notwithstanding the difficulties we encounter, we are resilient and full of optimism for better times to come. We rely on one another for assistance and take strength from our bond as a family. We refuse to allow the difficult economic times to overwhelm the warmth and affection that permeate our home.
We remind ourselves of the things we still have when things are unclear, including a roof over our heads, food on the table, and each other's everlasting support. We steer through these choppy waters together, clinging to hope and resolve for a better tomorrow.
The price of commodities will go up every month because it's due to increasing demand and salaries in different sectors. However, if the prices are increasing the living standards are also increasing so that's part of the game. I have already posted mine a few hours ago.

Hello @sumayaorin, it is so sad how things keep going up in prices in our various countries. The thought of rent in my country could make one go crazy and this has kept so many on the streets, homeless and jobless. The economic hardship is not something to write home about but what can we do, other than to stay focused, and learn a saving habit. Keep winning!
