Reason behind my Black and White Photo Challenge - Day 1: The Crab

I just thought of explaining further the reason behind the image in my entry for the #sevendaybnwchallenge.

Part of the rules was no explanation.

Which is fine, so I can have more topic or ideas to write about. :)

I started with a Crab not because it's my Zodiac sign or I just want you all to drool on it but simply because it was my Mom's favorite. Her priceless reaction was imprinted on my mind. I remember how she would react if she founds out she's having crab for lunch or dinner. It really brightens her day.

I remember her smile and excitement when she's preparing the vinegar with shredded garlic for her dipping sauce. Since we don't have a crab cracker she would put the mortar and pestle on her side and she is ready to rumble. Hahaha.

My mom was the provider for our family, often times she would crave for it but sadly, she was always out of budget, she will just say next time. When we were able to lavish her with things or food she likes, we decided to have a crab day twice a week. It's either we bring her to a place that serves crab or asks our dad to cook her favorite.

She deserves all the best after everything she has done for us. I guess if she was alive today, she can eat her favorite crab anytime she wants.
