A Culinary Lookout in Stavanger, Norway - Rooftop Launch Party for Food Lovers

in #food8 years ago (edited)

My friend, Tamara, invited me to her launch party for the brand new Culinary Lookout concept. Here are some pictures from their great launch party.

The idea of the Culinary Lookout concept is to enjoy local food, while you're able to see the region where the food is made, from a roof top with a 360 degree view. This was a pre launch of the concept, and we got to taste a lot of delicious food, enjoy the view and soak up the sun from a great hotel in the middle of Stavanger city.

I got to taste local and delicious salmon, cheese, chocolate, beer, juices and more. It was also the perfect weather for their grand opening! Sunny, blue skies and actually a bit hot. This isn't something you get every day in Norway.

I'm telling you, if you ever go to Norway, visit Stavanger, hike Preikestolen and taste Norway at Culinary Lookout!

Read more about the concept here: http://www.culinarylookout.com/

This project is a collaboration between Tamara from Social Cooking, Comfort Hotel, Taste Stavanger and eBillett.
You can visit the guided food tour every day at 12 o clock at Comfort Hotel Square in Stavanger.

That looks delicious and what a beautiful view. I'm also very happy to see that people can actually wear shorts in Norway! The only time I been there it was -25!!

Yes, it was amazing! I can highly recommend it for anyone that visits Stavanger. Ha ha, when did you visit Norway, and where did you go? You should consider coming back in the summer time!

Wow, there is not only one cloud up there in the sky! Lovely pictures and really good-looking food.

Thank you! Yes, when the weather is good in Norway, it's GREAT!

When I was a kid my family and I travelled there every year for fishing. We had a lot of rainy day but also some sunny moments. I love Norway even at it's darkest days, it's part of my very best childhood memories :-)
