Football is a very unique sport made up of 11players of two teams.
in each team all players play different positions in order to achieve a main goal which is WINNING..

VARIOUS POSITION IN FOOTBALL

Postion	Full meaning
GK	Goal keeper
CB	Center back
RB	Right back
LB	Left back
CM	Central midfielder
LF	Left forward
RF	Right forward
CF	Center Forward

In other to make the team compact, a coach is needed, the master mind behind the tactics and formation. He dictates the players position and game play also bring along his backroom staff to aid the team in various areas.

ROLES OF FOOTBALL PLAYERS

GOAL KEEPER

DEFENDER

MIDFIELDER

STRIKER

GOAL KEEPER

This player is responsible for save guarding the goal post and allowed to make use of both hands and legs.

"In some cases the usage of the hand is limited especially outside 18yard or During a back pass from his player"- Richard

DEFENDER

This is a set of players mostly 4 in number and their sole purpose is to defend the ball or obstruct any goal attempt in their own half.
This is where we make use of CB, LB, RB.

MIDFIELDER

I call this the engine room of a team, the midfielders can be categorized into two

1. Attacking midfielders
2. Defensive midfielders.

This two section work together inorder for the team game play to jelly well and serve as an intermediary between the defence and attack.

STRIKER

This player is responsible for scoring goals and making use of the midfielders contributions well, strikers are very important And deadly to opponents.
