Caliandra, forgotten beauty
Salam... All !!! Good day friends
I have a species of red flowers with a delicate body texture like a needle, red in color and taste sweet.
I got the seeds of this plant from one of my friends who often do mountain climbing in the Java Island region, in 2016 he climbed Mount Dieng in 2016 and he brought these flower seeds, and in the end this ornamental plant flourished at the age of 4 years at my home page.
This beautiful plant is one of the ornamental plants nicknamed the Red Caliandra flower. According to information, these flower ornamental plants originated from one of the regions of Guatemala in 1936, while their presence in Indonesia was carried by several species of Clearly birds that were urbanizing at the time.
While the scientific name is also quite well known from the experts, so he has several scientific names in the results of research. Following are the names scientifically summarized in the table below,
Scientific nameThe original name | Xilip de Qorcolorado |
---|---|
Scientific name | Calliandra callothyrsus |
Nickname 1 | Cabello de angel |
Nickname 2 | Barbe sol |
But in our region this flower is very well known as The Sweet Red, this is because in every flower strand there is a liquid content that tastes sweet so every bird obviously likes to suck up liquid, not only birds that always settle in flowers but bees or ants are also very dominant will interest this one.
Not only animals that like this one flower, I myself also really like it because the solid stored charm is amazing, I see this flower is one of the rare flowers in our region, because its presence in our region is very small.
Not only is this one flower species but there are also white twins or people say as Kaliandra Putih, between the two species there are no differences in terms of both form and function, but the difference is only the color.
Kaliandra is a multipurpose plant species that has superior properties that are beneficial to both humans and the environment.
Basically people plant these flowers as pioneers or as plants that can anticipate the growth of wild weeds, because the function of the roots of these plants can inhibit wild plants such as reeds.
In addition, this red Kaliandra plant can fertilize the soil naturally, because at the root of this plant contains Leguminosa or contains soil fertile nodules.
Not only that, there are also very useful uses in this Kaliandra plant, each leaf can be used as animal feed favored by goats, buffaloes, and other animals, and so are its branches which are often used as burning fuel because fast dry branches are very fast flammable.
Thus a brief review as information for this beautiful plant, hopefully what has been conveyed is useful for us all. Thanks.
