Entrepreneurs of Dholaikhal have reduced the foreign-dependence by providing equipment through sub-contract to various government-semi-government institutions. From here, machines and parts are being provided regularly to various establishments including the Port and Sea Transport Authority, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority, Bangladesh Railway, Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation, Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation, Civil Aviation, Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation, Power Development Board, Department of Public Health Engineering,etc

Market of Dholaikhal has opened the door to the possibilities of small and medium industries. There are about five thousand spare parts shops in small and large areas. Apart from the motor parts store, there are drum shits, lathe machines, old iron-lock shops. There are various materials including local, foreign motorcycles, car breakdowns, engines, cartridges, sockets, jugs, jumper, spring, hammers, ball joints, piston, bearings.
