DUDHSAGAR WATERFALL - FORCES IN NATURE
The Dudhsagar waterfall is located on the territory of the Bhagwan Mahavir Nature Reserve, which is located in the state of Goa, about 60 kilometers from the administrative center of North Goa - the city of Panaji. Dudhsagar is one of the world's tallest waterfalls, and is one of Goa's most significant sights. It is a multi-level system with a total length of about 603 meters and a height of 310 meters.
This miracle of nature is called Dudhsagar, which literally translates as "milk ocean", thanks to the color of the water, which seems milky white. According to legend, in the jungle on the site of the waterfall was the palace in which the princess lived. She loved to swim in the lake nearby, and after bathing she drank sweet milk from a golden jug. One day, while swimming, the princess saw a man watching her through the leaves, and, wanting to hide her body from prying eyes, she poured the milk into the water beside her. And to this day, the milky white spray of the waterfall, named Dudhsagar, reminds people of the modesty of the princess.
You can get to the waterfall by taxi, train, or bus, but this transport can only reach the territory of the reserve. The further way through streams and dense thickets it is necessary to overcome either on an off-road car, or on foot. But no difficulties can stop those who want to enjoy the beauty of this fabulous waterfall.
The best time to visit the Dudhsagar waterfall is during the winter months. Then neither the heat nor the monsoon rains that fall between June and September will not prevent you from experiencing all the charm of this place.
Beautiful .
