Everything in the cosmos is interconnected, which is why we are here

I was counting an elder and drinking coffee the other day. “Which leaders inspired you the most at the companies you worked for?” he asked. "Does it have to be a company?" I asked. Yes, he said. One by one, the companies I worked for appeared. I remembered my bosses. Of course, I've had the pleasure of working with some amazing people. But being influenced, driven, and remembered has altered.

Leadership is a key term. Bold font with a black pen. This word means a lot. It has as many books and articles as individuals on the world. The industry of producing leaders is now worth billions. Companies spend a lot of money developing management teams, and the world's best colleges have leadership programmes.

I wondered what it was about a leader that inspired and stayed with us. What did the few names have in common? "It's simple," I told myself. Don't second-guess yourself. They are popular. It's that simple. This was my first impression of the leaders. They were liked. adored adored Isn't it simple? We were hoping for a more positive phrase, perhaps a leadership adjective. For starters, it's that simple. Following our discussions with my colleagues and friends, I wonder whether leadership programmes teach that. It wasn't there when I looked for it.

According to one study, being liked by the group was more important than wealth, prestige, or physical appearance in determining adult popularity and social acceptance. We can always find millions of articles on how to be more beautiful, richer, and effective leaders on social media or in bookstores.

When we met, one of the most important characteristics of the leaders we admired as partners was that they displayed true affection. It is polite to make eye contact and inquire about their location in the corridor, elevator, or cafeteria. Without being ad hoc. One of the most important attributes of a liked person. It frees them to be honest with their loved ones. Prioritizing others' needs. Thank you, whoever. There were supervisors who couldn't stand each other, wouldn't meet each other, and couldn't even travel in the same elevator. Of course, they won't be remembered as inspiring. That is how humans work. We prefer to do business and spend time with people we care about.

Isn't being liked more essential than leadership? Belovedness is a "must have" rather than a "good to have." This will be true as long as humanity exists and communicates. Why is it so hard to let go of the idea that we are self-sufficient in life?

"Everything in the universe is connected," Margaret Wheatley explained. Nothing can exist without the support of others. However, leaders. Leaders who shut their doors, didn't communicate, didn't even look at their people, or greet them are long gone. A job, a business, or a project fades Those who made that dome sing will be remembered. You doubt it?
