Shooting the birds in flight

in LAKSHMI4 years ago

I always wonder, what attracts me the most about birds? I feel nothing specific; rather, it can be called the love of a lifetime, which has no plans to fade away. Of course, I like the process of flying - take, for example, a hawk that flies through the forest, tracking down prey.

The way he maneuvers among the trees and branches is incredible. Cormorants diving into the water, seagulls surrounding eagles in a flock, waxwings that eat mountain ash directly from the branches - I will never give up trying to capture such things with my camera.

Birds are very shy. They can quickly fly away into the distance. Or up. The filming process is a game of hide and seek that requires a lot of patience, and this despite the fact that everything happens very close to you and requires an instant reaction.

To photograph birds, you must constantly fight the elements - rain, fog, cold, warmth, bright sunlight and darkness.

it is impossible to take all the equipment with you, so you have to find a compromise and work with what you decided to take with you before leaving home.

So many decisions are made in accordance with the circumstances, which the photographer cannot influence in any way.

Know everything about birds. It sounds simple, but it takes time and effort. Information can be found in books, but knowledge comes only with practice . You need to observe them, as well as learn new things from other bird connoisseurs. It's a mutually beneficial relationship - you give and you receive.

Birds in flight are fascinating... and they definitely provide a challenge for the photographer. Whereas I get lots of good close-ups of birds just resting on branches and on the ground... I've never been much good at capturing them in flight. Occasionally, I get lucky, but mostly I just catch a blur.

You got some nice shots there!
