Stranded
I was out to sea and sailing free
stars overhead and the waves below
winds blow, but storms come and go.
Easy was life and salted the air
and without a care the sky slid by,
falling daily off edge to fiery death.
Born over from the opposite side
to glide again and warm the heart,
repetition the end and the start.
Til one day it rose and set for last
and never returned to light the way
forever the night, unbroken by day.
Unknown the got til it's finally gone
a regrettable feel of no remorse
~while plotting to set a new course.

It is very disturbing to see a ship run aground, paralyzed, especially because it is made for travel, for movement. Just like the ship, men and societies! It's strange, sad, to see them paralyzed in storms. Good day and thank you for your poem, @tarazkp
I think everyone should run aground from time to time and then find the strength to rebuild and set sail again.
Yes. Maybe! Just for a little while, briefly, so we don't get used to it!
Some people love living there, as it gives them something to complain about and an excuse why they can't do anything.
