Transparent veins

Transparent veins

The blood ran through
And you thought you knew
Just what would happen,
What I'd do.
It flowed on past
Tearing on fast
While none remained
In the heart.
Smiling you started to cry
I see you and pry
I know who you are,
I know what and why.
So sure and skilled
As the blood spilled
You judged me,
Yet I was killed.
Adjusted I moved on
While you looked upon
Unaware I had changed,
And was gone.
Tied to where I stood
Not where I could
You observed shadow,
As I said you should.
The game had switched,
You had twitched
And I had moved away
You got stuck in glitch.
What you hold
Was needed the gold
As that I took with me,
Invisible to your bold.

Whether this poem speaks of a break between lovers or business partners, it is obvious that the rupture was inevitable and the one who thought knew a lot about cause and consequence seems to be the one screwed up.
A quiet departure and a turning of the page may be more painful than a big argument. It may also be more convenient. The sooner we all get over it, the sooner we move on and life goes on, hopefully on a better plane.

You can rhyme... Nice!
