Li-Fi technology will provide fast internet

in Project HOPE2 years ago
We are all accustomed with using Wi-fi. After the popularity of Wi-Fi in Internet technology, Light Fidelity or Li-Fi is emerging. Internet speed will be faster with this new technology. This means that information can be exchanged through light waves. Li-Fi is one such technology. Wi-Fi is a system for connecting to a local network or connecting to the Internet using radio wave signals. This communication is done through a modem. The term Wi-Fi is an acronym for Wireless Fidelity. Professor Harald Haas first discovered Li-Fi technology in 2011.

Li-Fi is a completely new technology and still in the experimental stage. So, it might not be available or usable right away. But I can clearly say that Li-Fi will be able to take over Wi-Fi in coming years. Li-Fi technology transmits signals through light instead of using radio signals. Li-Fi stands for Light Fidelity. It is faster than Wi-Fi. But since light cannot penetrate walls, it can only work indoors. It can't work in the dark. Its speed is many times higher than Wi-Fi.

As it has its advantages, it also has some disadvantages.
Li-Fi range will not be high. Because it will be above your head, you will need to use Li-Fi from a fixed location. But rest assured of high-speed data transfer. The researchers said that Li-fi is very safe. Light waves like radio waves cannot pass through walls. So, its information is impossible to steal or capture. Other waves such as radio, microwave etc. collide with each other causing distortion of information. But this is less likely to happen with light.

In this technology, data delivery with LED lights. But the researchers want to further accelerate the use of Li-Fi with infrared or invisible light. Li-Fi will generate an internet signal by turning the light on and off very quickly. Even if it is not detected by the physical eye, the mobile or computer can easily receive this signal.

Li-Fi does not require a router. This technology is safe and simple. Li-Fi will run relatively faster than conventional Wi-Fi. A high-speed internet connection can be obtained only if the mobile or computer is directly towards the light source.
