Blinkit v1.3 | Sonoff integration, Blink the lights in your house on new Upvotes, Followers and Posts

This new updated version of Blinkit makes it possible to blink a regular light in your house when new Upvotes, Followers, and Post are detected.

(The previous versions of Blinkit could already blink USB sticks status LEDs and give a sound notification when new Upvotes, Followers and Posts are detected.)

To blink a light in your house with Blinkit, you do need to have a 5$, Sonoff Wifi smart switch, they are very cheap, popular and widely (online) available, for example on DealExtreme, Aliexpress, Banggood, and you would need to put the latest Tasmota firmware on it. (which is a must, to have running on them because of all the extra features it offers compared to the stock firmware that runs on it)

How is it implemented ?

The most popular custom firmware for Sonoff smart switches is Theo Arends, Tasmota firmware, his firmware is free available for a wide variate of models (30+/-) his firmware makes it possible for the Sonoff to accept direct commands send to it by URL:

Blinkit makes use of this function to send the On, Off, and Toggle commands to the Wifi connected Sonoff switch.

Features of the newly added Sonoff module in Binkit:

• IP / Hostname of your Sonoff switch can be typed in and saved
• The light connected to your Sonoff switch can be switched On and Off with the buttons
• The blink length can be set with a slider, and saved by the user (0-11 sec)
• The blink button can be used to test the saved blink settings. (it will toggle the light, a toggle is used because the light could already be On, for normal use or be Off because not in use)
• Blink the light when new Steem Upvotes, Followers and Posts are detected for a specified user.

Script that toggles the Sonoff: blinksonoff.bat

Files that where added/updated:

• form1.vb (The interface is updated)

• blinksonoff.bat is added (this script toggles the Sonoff device, and waits for X seconds and toggles it back into the previous state)

• upvotessonoff.bat is added (this script watches for new Upvotes and when found calls blinksonoff.bat)

• followerssonoff.bat is added (this script watches for new Followers and when found calls blinksonoff.bat)

• postssonoff.bat is added (this script watches for new posts and when found calls blinksonoff.bat
