Decentralized platforms are providing a chance to decentralize power. Instead of a group of old men being able to decide to outlaw plants because their pharmaceutical investments aren't making enough money, we will be capable of making our own decisions.
Centrality doesn't work. The only reason it ever did was because it wasn't easy to transfer information over distances. We no longer have that problem. Transfer of information takes moments from practically anywhere to anywhere. We no longer have any need to delegate our powers and authorities.
We have a chance to build a system incorruptible, impervious to influence or bias, and does exactly what we program it to. Imagine loading your vote into a blockchain.
