Merry Monday | Birthday, Family & Way Too Much Food!

I went out with my grandma for my birthday to a nice steakhouse, it was really good!

It’s kind of a tradition for us to go out on a “date” for my birthday and feel fancy eating at nice restaurants. It’s nice because it’s just the two of us and we get to talk and catch up on each other’s lives.

Dinner started with some nice hot and fresh sourdough rolls with butter! I love sourdough, and i love butter, perfect combo 👌🏼

Next up was the salad. I ordered a Caesar salad while my grandma requested the green salad with bleu cheese dressing.

It was good but towards the end I found a very long black hair in the bottom of my salad bowl. Yuck! 😂

After that came the main course (pictured above) which was a nice 10oz steak that came with three large prawns, green beans, and (for me) fries (for her) baked potato with plenty of toppings.

Since it was my birthday, the waitress stealthily brought this slice of cheesecake and lit the candle for me to blow out without any annoying singing or yelling to let the whole restaurant know about my birthday (I HATE THAT!). I was really appreciative of her perceptiveness so I left an extra $4 tip on top of the tip my grandma left.

After that, we went back to her house where the rest of the family was and we all had some ice cream and I got a couple gifts.

Even though I don’t really care much about my own birthday, it was a fun time and I had a really good evening enjoying life with my family.
