A general question for practical dapps and monetization.

My Wife has recently been banned from Twitch because of "sexually suggestive content" and that really sucked. We are still able to survive but that took away a lot of the comfort zone.

I am very much in the market right now to figure out ways to gain a profitable following on dapps platforms. Social media being a major aspect of this concept but other methods interest me greatly as well. Basically I want to do what most people are doing with centralized platforms. I want to get in good and early on this trend especially in light of the bull market.

I also don't want to purchase cryptocurrency with fiat because I have already had bad experiences with banks shutting down my transactions. Banks really hate it when you buy crypto too much. I like to be paid directly in crypto right now so I can skip all of that potential bullshit.

Patreon : is actually possible in crypto. The hardest thing about something like this is allowing some kind of subscription model with various tiers. Is that actually something that can be setup? Is this out of scope for this platform?

LBRY : Fun Fact! I Can potentially sell my Indie games and various assets on LBRY. While its meant to be a video hosting platform its really just a clever torrent platform. Pretty awesome!

Streaming donations and alerts : Anyone out there know if anyone has developed a way for live streamers to get alerts when someone sends money to a cryptocurrency address? We need this I think. Blockchain agnostic would be most ideal but really any currency would be fine.

Kickstarter : A way to do a kickstarter in the crypto space would be absolutely amazing. Once again I seriously wonder how out of scope something like this actually is. Basically you would setup a desired amount for people to send and lockup money to a temporary address, if the desired amount of funding is not reached within X time then refund everyone. If the desired amount is reached then send the money over to the person who started it.

Video hosting, blogging and general social media is fantastic on blockchain right now. But, we still lack a truly decentralized video streaming platform, proper subscription and kickstarted functionality. Everything else is pretty solid though. Dtube and LBRY already do a great job for decentralized video and file hosting.

I feel like setting up shop completely within the crypto space is starting to look actually feasible.
