HOW I CAME ACROSS A RACIST SITE
I accidentally came across a racist site where black women are referred to as "sheboons", black men as chimps/niggers and it left me speechless.
It begs the question, are we moving forward?
From the "no entry for blacks" clubs in Asia, to the Caucasian priority in Mecca, not to mention the reason behind the "Black Lives Matter" in the US, its left me wondering why so much hate?
Most of us will turn up our noses at racism but once we meet another Nigerian, the next question after his/her name is "where are you from?"
Why should it matter where he was born, or what religion her parents practiced? These are situations we have no control over so why should it matter?
We can't even accept our selves! We straighten our hair, bleach our skins or even use filters to make our photos look lighter. Inside of us we don't even accept ourselves enough.
We are constantly trying to conform to the "white man's" perception of beauty. Light skin, skinny... Whatever!
Which leads me to our guys. Please decide if you want to be a traditional Nigerian man or a western man. You cannot be speaking through both sides of your mouth. You choose when to be modern and when that western culture doesn't favor you, you switch to "our culture"! lol
I don't even know how i got to this topic, i just know I'm tired of all these hypocrisy, including mine. Let me just stop before Pastor will call me for counseling and deliverance.
Oya screenshots of the stupid site below. Its called chimpmania.com

The world will put you down, you don't have to help them in putting you down. look yourself at the mirror and say i am beautiful
Good one bro. all i preach is all about love, thats why i love steem, i have not noticed any abuse here. letd keep loving one another
Aptly put!
Honestly, although I try not to show it, I become very irritated whenever I meet someone for the first time and he/she asks me 'Where are you from?' Sometimes, I flatly refuse to answer. We complain about the White's perception of Blacks and yet we turn around and fuel our own unfounded views towards our own!
This mindset must be stamped out if we are to grow.
well commented, am following you please show some love @theheralds
@theheralds
This is very sad. I guess there not much anyone can do, until we eradicate discrimination within us, we can't really blame the outsiders for doing the same.
@phunke
thanks for reading following you already
Hello @theheralds
It is quite unfortunate how low some people can stoop! however, no matter how we are perceived, our own perception of ourselves matters a lot.
That is why I found the above quoted context very useful. Thanks for sharing
@eurogee
thanks bro, you made a point
The seekers don't find and the finders don't like
that is the irony of life, thanks@anaman for reading
I wonder what bloggers wouldn't do just in the name of blogging
That's life. Since the coming of Donald Trump these things are on the rise
Thanks for passing by bro.
@theheralds i see racism as a killer and a spirit from the pit of hell. As a person either black or white i see through the agape glass all as one. Been light in complexion or dark,it is just a color we are all one before God who created us . Am proud to be a black man from Africa.
Yes @olusolaemmanuel the colour doe not matter what matters is the person inside. thanks for reading
