Hi fellow Steemians! A dancer's journey into Steemit

After a long while lurking in Steemit, I'm glad to be introducing myself to a new community. I don't want to bore you so I'll keep it short. My name is Gerry and I'm from a tiny island in the Far East called Singapore (it's not in China contrary to popular belief). I'm 24 years old and teach bboying (or breakdancing) as a profession. Other genres that I do are salsa, house, locking, and urban. I've been dancing for about 11 years. For the past 7 months, motivating people has been part of my job and it has come to my realisation that it's my passion to help others along achieve a live worth living through videos and quotes. I've been to the US, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, Korea, Japan and Canada to compete and teach dance. It's honestly amazing how much I've learned on being more open minded and creative by travelling to these wonderful countries. Anyway, I'll cut to the chase.

Why I'm on Steemit:

• I find that Steemit is one of the communities that has a great culture of sharing what they know. Me, being hungry for all sorts of knowledge, find that Steemit is a goldmine to understand what people have gone through.
• Motivating people through my comments and content. Everyone has a rough day once in a while and I want to lend a helping hand in any way possible. Kind words have the power to change someone's life :)
• To connect and build with new friends. Anyone who will love to speak, I'm just as keen, if not more.
