The Mentality That Will Change Your Life

When it comes to success, a common question asked is "how do successful people think?". To answer this question, it would take days or months to break down the common mindset of the successful. However, there is a key difference in the mindset and here it is:

The people who don't achieve what they want fear failure, whereas the people who achieve things love success.

Now many would debate that if you fear failure and you love success, they both could work hand in hand. Here's why that's not the case. Try this exercise for a minute. Once you try it, I guarantee you it'll change the way you thinking.

1. Take a look around you and make a mental note of what is red. It could be a marker or a bag. Anything that has the colour red. 

2. Now list the items that are blue without taking a second look.

You'll notice that as you were looking for the colour red, you didn't process what was blue. The same goes for having a fear of failure. You look for things that could make you fail. When you start focusing on things that can pull you down, you stop looking for opportunities that could make you succeed. On the other hand, if you love success, you will be focused on finding opportunities instead of what will make you fail.

With that said, loving success puts you in the right frame of mind to overcome obstacles when you inevitably meet them. Fear of failure will tell you that you were right in the first place, that the obstacle would hinder your success.

In the end, the things we regret are not things we did but things we didn't do. You never know if it works until you try it out.
