My opinion on the recent South Park episode being banned in China

The best part of the South Park/China thing is they literally had James Harden in their China episode -- days before he apologized to China for Daryl Morey's comments about Hong Kong protestors.
South Park really has the sharpest political commentary in comedy.
"anybody who would betray their ideals just to make money in China isn't worth a lick of spit" Southpark captured it all in one line. The beauty of American art.
Hello there @theouterlight how have you been? In my opinion the Communist government of China is too rigid I mean this episode scout park is a mere criticism and the Chinese government responded too harshly by banning it. In my opinion they should be accountable and open to criticism, it spells so much when they have so much influence on their movie and entertainment industry really. It's really a no nonsense zone in China
I think it's natural for China to get angry and block the South Park event after the show that has cornered China. And it's only natural that South Park showmakers apologize to China.
A little correction. China isn't Communist, only by name the government calls itself. China is arguably even more capitalist than the US, and China themselves describe it as 'Socialism with Chinese characteristics'. Essentially, the government owns all the big important stuff. All banks, all energy, all transport and so on.
The private companies not owned by the government have to bow down to every command regardless, follow every rule. So it's not how we traditionally understand these classes.
Communism is putting ownership in the hands of the people. This is quite the opposiite. One could argue that everything is ini the hands of 11-12 people at the top.
It's more about being able to control and micromanage than dividing things in any class-specific way.
