Something else of note is that bleach is toxic and prolonged use can have deleterious health effects. It is a very good disinfectant, but as far as envelope viruses like flu or corona, hand washing is possibly the most effective way to kill the virus https://academic.oup.com/cid/article/48/3/285/304169. In this link it even says that air drying for a period of time caused an immediate reduction in detectable virus. This is why these diseases don't spread as easily in the summer months since warm temperatures tend to dry out any droplets in the air or on surfaces very quickly. Soap works similarly in that it essentially dissolves the membrane that these viruses need to survive and infect people.
