Locals cannot cook Foreign food
I always try to eat locally. Because if you try to eat food that is foreign to the country you are in, you are setting yourself up for an expensive disappointment. Foreign food is more expensive because it is less common, and the people cooking it usually have no idea what you are doing so you get a sub par dish. The only exception is if it is a foreigner from the country that dish is from. Like italian food. I always dread getting italian food if it is not cooked by an italian. It does not matter if the boss is italian and they teach their staff, that sucks too I have found. The worst offenses I have found are using vegetable oil instead of olive oil, and not using enough tomatoes or none at all! The italian food bothers me, because it is so common and sub par, and the original food is so delicious. Another one is thai food, where people cook it with soy sauce or teriyaki sauce, instead of fish sauce smh. The only exception I have found is when people cook mexican food pretty well, even if it differs from the original.
Thanks for the info :)
