Kiss me with stories of warriors so bold
Sing of the elders etched into stone
Murmur the ghosts of children long gone
Recite the unwinding of seldom walked paths
Render me speechless with tales of your wrath
Chant of the sky and the meadow of whim
Of lords and ladies, salvation and sin
Shout out a battle, an ungodly war
Weave me a bridge of your legend, your lore
Call to me softly 'cross many a mile
Whisper me home to that distant green isle

I like how each line begins with a reference to a whisper - kiss, murmur, chant, recite render, etc except for the 8th line. This poem is a call of hope.

Congratulations on your grandbaby...I have two on the way super excited.
