Steemit Engagement Challange II | Steem Kindness Contest - How STEEMIT changed my LIFE for the better life

INTRODUCTION
Hello Steemians in the Steem Entrepreneurs Community. I am delighted join the ongoing contest in the Steemit Community through this community. It has been an interesting contest altogether since the past one week as I have read through posts of many participants in different communities.

Steemit is a life changer. It has changed my life and made it better. I seriously do not know how I would have faired financially if I had not joined Steemit. I thank God that I did not resist being a part this platform at the time it was introduced to me. Despite all the hurdles that have come my way while making quality contents here, I can only speak of the testimonies that have abounded. Let us ride on as I put in writing my journey to Steemit and how it had changed my life.

HOW I GOT TO KNOW STEEMIT AND WHY I DECIDED TO JOIN

In latter days of October 2020, I decided to go to some individuals dms on a Crypto WhatsApp group I belong in order to buy Cryptos from them. I have always watched members of the group sell their coins to one another for Month's since I joined the group until a certain day in that month when I decided to chat up some of them privately. I did that so I would get them to sell to me directly instead of taking their coins to the group. In my mind, I wanted to make friends with a couple of them so they would prefer to sell to me. One of the coins they sold was STEEM.

That was how I chatted up @talktofaith. We got acquainted with each other the first day and the day that followed she asked me if I knew the Steemit platform. I said I didn't, so she explained in brief what the platform was all about. She told me I could pay a token for mentorship and make learning easier or stay on my own and learn. That if I pay, she would add me up to a WhatsApp group where I would get proper tutoring to understand the system. I explained my financial situation to her, so she let me joined the WhatsApp group for free. Here, I was given a proper orientation about the platform before @Talktofaith assisted me with the registration and the next day, I completed my achievement 1 Task with her help.

No one can survive on steemit without help from an old member who already knows how the system works. The reasons I decided to join Steemit was the assistance I got from @talktofaith and some steemalive members who belonged to the steemAlive WhatsApp group I joined helped me to grow. Without the help that was given to me, I wouldn't have been able to stay active because I wouldn't have known what to do.
I am most grateful to @talktofaith, @focusnow, @ngoenyi, @whiteestallion and @bright-obias who helped in my growth and made me stay active on Steemit.

HOW STEEMIT CHANGED MY LIFE

There is so much to be said. I hope my writing do not become too voluminous. But before I go into the main topic of discussion, I have to digress a little so everyone understands the positive impact of steemit in my life.

I graduated from the University in 2015 and after my National Youth Service in 2017, I had to still stay in my parents house because there was no job with good pay. After a couple of years hustling, I went for a masters degree program but in the middle of the program, Covid-19 came, so I had to return home. There was no hope.of job anywhere, so when my bro introduced me to Binance, I had to borrow money and I started Binance spot trading with almost zero knowledge of how to trade. After about few months, I became indebted as result of the money I borrowed to trade. I was in a dip for 3 months and I had lost all hope. This was the time I came across @talktofaith on the WhatsApp group and she introduced steemit to me.

Now that it's clear, let me tell you how steemit has changed my life.

STEEMIT GAVE ME FINANCIAL FREEDOM AND INDEPENDENCE

I joined Steemit at a point when I had lost so much in cryptocurrency trading. I had almost nothing in my bank account. I dedicated my time and energy to write quality posts right from when I started with my achievement 1 post until I started making something out of it.

After few months of joining steemit, I was able to pay up the money I owed. And started saving for the future. I made plans for many things but the first thing I did was the new android phone I bought in May 2021. With the help of steemit, I was able to get a brand new android phone that worth $170. My old phone was already due for change, so Steemit had my back on this.

After few months of hard work, posting, and getting rewards on Steemit, I was able to rent an apartment of my own. I bought everything I needed to comfortably stay on my own. These includes a TV set, a TV cable (DSTV), a set of executive chairs, cooking gas cylinder and table gas, wooden wardrobe, a mattress, kitchen utensils and every household appliance I needed.

After putting my apartment in proper order, I was able to move to it and have a private life. I have been able to stay on my own for months without financial help coming from no where except steemit and crypto trades.

This is the best thing steemit has done for me and I am still enjoying the benefits of this platform.

STEEMIT CRYPTO ACADEMY EQUIPED ME WITH THE CRYPTO KNOWLEDGE TO THRIVE IN THE CRYPTO SPACE

As I mentioned earlier, I started crypto with a zero knowledge of how cryptocurrencies and crypto trading works. I knew nothing about technical analysis, fundamental analysis, the market psychology, trend and trendlines, market makers and market takers in crypto, etc. This was my major set back before I joined steemit. Upon joining, it was easy for me to know that steemit is a crypto affair. But I never new that the Steemit Crypto Academy Community was a planned project by @steemitblog to be launched in the future. The starting up of the crypto academy community increased my hunger to stay on steemit to keep on producing content because I knew I have been presented with the best opportunity to learn about cryptos.

Steemit through the Steemit Crypto Academy has been a positive influence in my quest for knowledge of the crypto world. I have learnt the basic and fundamental things about crypto. I have learnt the complex aspects of Crypto. Every aspect of crypto I listed up there that I never had idea, I have been able to learn with the help of the academy. I have expanded and broadened the little idea I had about crypto to a fountain of overflowing knowledge. I have participated in so many crypto academy tasks with the knowledge provided by the professors. Here are some of the posts I made on the academy.

Because of my quest for crypto knowledge, I made most of my posts in the crypto academy until I was muted as a result of plagiarism. Due to the fact that I had made so much money from crypto and with the knowledge I gathered, I had been able to trade, making profits daily.
Steemit beautified my life and turned it around with the much needed crypto knowledge.

Steemit has helped me to stay financially buoyant. I have been able to help friends and loved ones with money. I cannot begin to calculate the money I have been able to assist my girlfriend with. I have been able to send money home to my parents occasionally as a result of the financial freedom I was able to have through this platform. It's been a successful journey on this platform.

In addition, I am not a writer by discipline. I didn't even do literature in college (senior secondary school) but steemit had helped me to develop that part of me that was hidden. It has helped me to be creative in all aspects. Today I write because I learnt the art of writing from nowhere but on Steemit.

A WORD TO NEWBIES

Steemit is a very serious business that requires your time, hard work, consistence, and patience. You only get what you give on Steemit. If you write well, no community administrator or moderators will leave you out of their selection for support. Steemit is one of the most unbiased system I have seen. So stay focused and determined and put in your best. There is really no limit to the level of wealth you can create through this platform. For now that you are new to this platform, do not let rewards influence your activity. Be more concerned about growing than you are about rewards. Everything will fall in place when you have learnt what you need to know.

CONCLUSION

My achievements on steemit were as a result of diligence, determination/focus, consistency, and patience. If you check my profile, you will see many posts that paid out but without votes or tangible votes but I pressed on with high level of determination. Today I enjoy the dividends of my hard work because I never gave up when things were difficult.

One thing I would like us to know is that Steemit is a platform where anyone, no matter the background can be made. So it does matter where you come from or where you are at the moment, stay focused and you will attain the height you desire in wealth.
