Gratitude Day 49/62: Influence
pixaby.com
One fateful Saturday morning, I woke up on the left side of the bed as usual. The entire house was clothed in darkness, there was no power supply. I could hear the sound of my neighbor's generator and that meant only one thing. It meant that the darkness in my room was going to stay a little longer because I had no fuel to power my generator. I reached for my phone. My plan was to use my phone screen light to locate the touch in my room. There was FB notification; "Mr. X tagged you in a post".
My curiosity led me to click on the notification and when I did I saw something very interesting. Actually, it was more than interesting. It was a mind-blowing facebook post about me. The writer expressed his gratitude for how I helped him get on a WhatsApp group where he learned about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and how he made a profit of $100,000. I was shocked to my bones. I felt so much pride in my activity and the fact that he had such an appreciative heart drew me close to him. We became online friends. From that day our friendship has grown. I have given him many crypto tips that worked out just fine and today if I give him a call and tell him to invest in a crypto, he is most likely going to invest. Influence!
Influence is such a powerful word. It is a great thing to be a influencer in any niche. Influencer marketing is still a fancy word to me. I don't know what it means but as a amateurish as I am, I know the effect that I have on some people. Some people will make cryptocurrency investing decisions just because an influencer says so. I remember that I began taking dash seriously because of Amada B Johnson. It was people like @marketingmonk that drew me to Steemit and gave me this opportunity to make a lot of money. What would happen if someone like Chris Coney stakes his reputation to support a cryptocurrency project? It would be a massive boom for the project.
Be courteous, be respectful. Care for people. Treat people with respect. I remember the first day Mr. X sent me a pm. I responded in my usual way, I didn't even know he was a whale. Lol... Thank God I responded well that day. Online opportunities/businesses has taught me a lot of things. One of those things is that your skills, your education, your qualification don't matter as much as your ability to relate well with people and build the right relationships.
Today I want to celebrate myself for being awesome. I want to thank God for the opportunity to have influenced many to join this digital revolution we call cryptocurrency.
Thank you for reading. Stay awesome!
