DIY : My Scrapbook mini album and more...
Hello steemians! Today I will show you all my creations, "scrapbook mini album". This project is unexpensive, I made my own DIY embellishments for economize. Everytime I sold one scrapbook, I always save half of it and the other will be my investment for my crafts. Three years ago, when I arrived here in France, I stay at home and went to french language school everyday. But when the school ended, I can't find a job yet. So what I did, I try to divert my ennui. Considering that I love arts and crafts, I decided to start making crafts. My husband always supported me,he's an art lover too. So I started to purchased some materials in a very cheaper store called " ACTION" a discount-store origin from Netherlands, a retail store. I made some list for my crafts like Scrapbook paper design, tools and some embellishments. Occasionally I order in Aliexpress , but the scrapbook paper is more expensive by cause of the freight. But usually die-cuts are great in Aliexpress, there are various design and affordable. I'm not a hoarder, I'm just good at finding craft supply bargains.
Before I started making scrapbook mini album, I watched several times of tutorials. I subscribed and followed those experts crafters. Even before in my highschool days, I used to make crafts and card to offer for my mom, but the design is quite contrary. The evolutions of arts.
Finally I made my first mini album. Here is it. This is my first mini album vintage style which I prefer. To make this album, I used a cereal box for the cover and spine. Upcycling hehehe. Then I covered all the box with my design paper. For the hinge, you need to be accurate. Since it's my first time, I failed in this project. The hinge was not sturdy. I saw many lapses with my first project, I started again until it was successful. In doing what you love , never stop learning until you succeed. The best ingredients are patience, creativity and zen. Keep calm.
My second project, this was already sold to my french friend. She was my first client who saw my project that I posted in my social media. At first she asked me one album. That moment, I was so greatful, finally someone try to ask my crafts! It's not much but I felt contented. I made this second album for her grandson. I try to make it nice and clean so she might order again. All the dimension of my album is 16cm x 16xcm, 6 pages with insert card, flaps , tags and included the embellishments. There's a lot of room for your photos and some journaling.
Because she was satisfied about my work, she asked more again! At this time, she offered it to her granddaugther. The same dimension and I invested half of my selling to my crafts for the next project. I added some lace, butterfly and more embellishments. More photos and journaling can be added.
And lastly, she offered this to her another granddaughter. The good thing about it, she allowed me to decide about the design. I don't need to buy some materials for my craft investment anymore, I already have, unless my husband offer me something heheheh...
When my Filipino friends heard about my sideline, she asked one album, a present for her french boss. Another blessing! In this album, it's a little bit shabby and chic style, I love the color combination and the design of the paper. Even the inter active styles. I made it simple in the cover page and I used embossing folder for a change.
One month before I gave birth, I made this album for my son. It took so long before I finished it, I easily get tired and need to stop what I'm doing. But finally, I'm done! Just a little bit of patience and time. And in my next post, I will make an album for my husband, A vintage travel scrapbook.
Here are some of my creations;
Mixed media scrap - A present for my husband in our Anniversary.

Paper flowers & embellishments - old clothe turns into flower, diy stickers and 3d embellishment.

Bracelet - I use it as my personal.

You can earn money with your crafts. Just keep on learning. In my next post, will be a tutorial of my mini album.
