IOTA potential or dream
The more I read about IOTA the more excited I get.
It is a great concept, one that can beat both Bitcoin and Ethereum if all developers involved can make it into what it is destined to do.
The question is, what is IOTA's real potential in the market? Since yesterday IOTA Jumped from 28c US to 40c US today and once the product is developed (if) I believe it can go above $2USD per IOTA however price wise it will never come close to ETH or BTC.
One disappointing aspect of IOTA is that there is too much IOTA out there at the moment compared to BTC or ETH or even some other crypto. I could be wrong but there is approx. 2 billion IOTA in the market compared to 21 million BTC (data provided by a knowledgable trader M) thus BTC is trading close to $3k USD while IOTA is still in cents. I wish IOTA developers followed the BTC model when releasing the crypto and issued coins in increments over time thus pushing the price up and rewarding those who believed in the product early and invested their money.
To conclude, IOTA has great potential, if developed properly it will perform all the functions BTC and ETH perform today and more and will have another big advantage in Tangle and security levels it can provide compared to current blockchain. The dream however is that it will make it's early investors/supporters rich.

Good post m8:) The total supply is only 33% more than Bitcoin and much less than Eth. Also the amount of tokens capped. Think of the supply like satoshi to iota:)

I just went through their white paper also, impressive stuff. Security levels are quantum computer proof, so thats a hugely impressive. I think IOTA is way ahead of anything else out there, but perhaps too far ahead right now. This is a long term investment and a very exciting one.
