There's A New Breed Of Whales Out There.
Scientists are working to identify a new species of whale that Japanese fishermen had been reporting and calling a “kurasu”. A number of parties have incorrectly identified this new species of whale, confusing it with the Baird's Beaked Whale. Philip Morin, a molecular geneticist for NOAA, unravelled the mystery and is providing evidence that we have a new species here.
While a few of these whales had washed up on beaches in the past, Japanese scientists felt there was not enough evidence to be conclusive. Strangely, a specimen of this new species was found hanging from the ceiling at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC and another found at a high school in Alaska. Some specimens were even discovered in the NOAA Southwest Fisheries Science Center's collection. They were all mistakenly labeled as Baird's Whales!
Scientists have never seen these whales alive as they are rather cryptic and live in deep waters. Now the latest techniques will allow scientists to correctly identify this new species of beast.

I upvoted You
This is funny. You're actually talking about real whales. I clicked on your headline expecting to read about Steemit whales LOL :)
got me too
(^⊆^)I owe you one.
Hehe, I thought this was going to be an article about Steemit whales. Surprised to see one about IRL whales :)
Instead you got an upvote from a minnow! ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ
:)
It looks like a cross between a dolphin and a whale. Very fitting for the audience. :-)
I'm still making it work. In my mind, this is a post about Steemit's rise in Japan, headed by recluse millionaires who generally stay out of sight, rising occasionally to upvote and then submerging back into the depths of their real lives.
excellent man. you are genius!
