Is group happiness even a thing? Why would "a people" be happy. Economic theory deals with people in the aggregate, but that is hardly the same thing. And equating the economic prosperity of a group, as measured by societal norms, with happiness perpetuates yet another fallacy. Even the closing argument, that group happiness has never occurred, tends to undermine the thesis that the unhappiness is due to this unfair distribution of wealth.
