Pefkos - a week in the sun ☀️

Unlike Italy .. Greece was a lazy week !! But the explorer in me couldn’t help heading out on a couple of adventures !!

So come this way and il show you ...

As I was there for a week chilling by the pool, eating lots of lovely greek food , it won’t read much like a diary like my other ones but il try and fit as much info as I can into what I tell you :)

I’ve always wanted to go and I had the opportunity so thought why not !!
The airport transport took me to my resort through the town of Pefkos ...it was late so I just went to bed but I didn’t realise how big it was until the next morning !!! I could of eaten in a different place for breakfast lunch and dinner all 7 days!! But I didn’t!! I went to the supermarket to grab some bits for breakfast and some lunches !! And headed for the pool !!

That evening I took myself off to the Main Street to look for something to eat but didn’t have to go far as on the corner looked like an amazing restaurant and the menu looked lush :) I was on cloud 9! Couldn’t believe I was in Greece for the first time .. on my own, tucking into a lovely meal with my kindle! Perfect !!

I headed back to the hotel pretty early because I had a plan for the next day !!! As always !! Exploring is my middle name !! I wanted to get up early and walk to the next town .. Lindos

It was so beautiful ... well not walking along the main road but I didn’t have much choice !!
The heat was starting to come through but I saw on the map some ruins I wanted to go check out

Amazing views into Lindos - you had to climb a fair few stairs to get to the entrance! Hence the views ! And it’s a good job I did go early as when I came out the queue was ridiculously long !!! Also they were donkeys bringing people up too which I don’t agree with but it’s tradition in Greece

Heading into the little town it was typically what you see on adverts for Greece - the white sugar cube houses .. it was amazing - couldn’t stop smiling :)!
All the little streets were lined with souvenirs shops ..

Heading back I stopped at a beach bar as it was getting to midday and the heat was getting to me for a cool drink and snack ;) ...

So cute :)!

Anyway ...

That evening I headed up to what I called The Church On The Hill

This was the gate way up to it ... super cute ;)

I went up there just in time for sunset ...

Just stunning, it was a little walk from Pefkos going towards Lindos but so worth it ...
I headed out for some dinner and then a early night with my book ( told you it was chilled !!)

The next day I got the bus into Old Rhodes Town

It was crazy busy but who doesn’t like a busy tourist town ...
I did do an awesome like 3D virtual reality thing and it told you an old story with water and heat and steam etc pretty fun really!!

But on the way out was a little museum and I noticed it straight away because it was in The Luvre in Paris too

It was a beautiful town ... il give you a sneaky peak but you must go honestly I loved it

And of course this beautiful picture again ...

That night I decided I really fancied a Chinese and I’d noticed one on the high street opposite my first night restaurant so I headed that way after I’d got back from Rhodes and had a little nap ...

It was yummy and I think because I was on my own the waiter felt sorry for me lol

Look what I got !!

Heading back to my room for a nice chill and read before bed !!

That next day was a lazy day round the pool and I did walk down to the beach for a little look too ... the sand wasnt very sandy it was like stones but sliced stone ... and hot!!!!! So make sure you where shoes !!!!

That afternoon I’d heard the other end of the island Lardos you can see like 2 seas - different colours .... I couldn’t but here are the pictures !!! I had a nice lunch though before heading back on the bus!!!!

That afternoon they was group of people my age round the pool and they were heading to do some water sports and invited me along so I thought why not haven’t really spoken to anyone all week !!

And we also went Canoeing there too but obvs didn’t have my phone ... we went into the caves round the seas edge it was fun ! That was towards Lindos again ...

That evening they was like 80’s tribute singers that id noticed in the week so I invited them along and they said yeah why not we will meet you there for cocktails ...

These were the first few before I got ALittle bit carried away !!!!

I actually ended up going into another bar/club place ! No one was in there !! PAYING ... To jump of a 10ft board half naked into a deep pool !!!

Haven’t even got a picture ! Damn it !! I have got a video somewhere !!!!

So the next day was a right off to say the least!! And I was heading home the next night so I just chilled , did some souvenir shopping ate ice cream!

Went back to my favourite restaurant on the corner !! Il find it for you ...

I’d highly recommend it !!! I absolutely loved my week in the sun chilling by the pool and a few adventures !!! 🇬🇷

Next stop ... coming back to February 2020 To Amsterdam 🇾🇪 With @tomatom 😍

And then as it was 3 years ago this week I thought I’d treat you to my 5 days in Cornwall ... you don’t need to go as far as you think for beauty!! Well 8 hours on a train for me but still!
