It's the season for Eggnog
Today will be the first glass of eggnog I have had this year. The season is here, this year I plan on trying to make my own version rather than buying the generic brands from the store. That way I can add some grown up drinks to it.
Here is a pretty simple recipe I found earlier. Check it out.
Place the egg yolks and white sugar into the blender. Blend for about 2 minutes or until the mix thickens up. Pour the yolk-sugar mix into a large bowl, whisk in milk and cream. Continue mixing until the sugar has completely dissolved. Chill until ready to serve. Sprinkle ground cinnamon over each cup before serving.
Still working on trying to come up with my own version. I will work on it more towards Christmas.
Only have it once or twice a year around the holidays.
Eggnog is best served cold that's for sure.
People I know like to add Kahlua around the holidays.
That looks good. I'll try it.
